Many problems! And lots of bugs

Pretty fun time waster, but it needs a serious update to fix the lag issue.

The game play is very true to what I remember from the c64 version, but with much better graphics. Ive only tried the classic controls so far, but I find the left right buttons to sometimes be less than perfectly responsible. And at an inopportune time this can be very frustrating. Other than that, if you like this kind of game, go get it! Theyve done a great job with this one.

Im not sure if the original was like this too, but controls, especially the jump, are really jerky. This makes it harder to make more difficult jumps.

This game is really, a worthwhile purchase.

I spent $5 on this app and have reloaded it more than twice but all it does when I tap it is exit out of it right away.. Such a waste, it seems like this app has been a success for others but not me.

Pressing the shoot button in punk mode crashes the game every time. Renders the game unplayable.

What used to be one of my favorite games ended up in total disaster. The game has become unplayable and darn slow on my iPod 4th gen when it was perfectly fine. And the sprites are so ugly on my iPad 2, that it ruins the whole gaming experience. Luckily, the HD version is still available and is far more superior.

This would be a great game if it worked. You get into a level and it cuts out all the time. I give up playing it. Dont waste your money unless it gets fixed.

Its the BEST run and jump game EVER !!! I had the really old version on my old iPad but this one is AWESOME AND FUN

i have been stuck on 6-9 for a loooooooooong time. it got on my nerves so i just erased the whole game and started from the beggining. the problem with 6-9 is that it is practicaly impossible to jump and when finaly (finaly!) i somehow manage to get there,i land in the middle of a ton of monsters with no place to jump on them and i died.but yes,it is true that they make jumping practicaly impossible,and they need to fix that.and it would also be cool if you could have a few game slots at once-that way you could be stuck on a level,get bore,start the game from the beggining and still be able to go back to the same level you were stuck on.

When I got this game, I wanted to play it from start to finish without having 0 lives, when I got to world 3-9, its so hard I cant get past this level, too many enemies that cant be jumped on will kill you, 3-9 is hard as the 5 th level in "Worlds hardest game" version 1 from addictinggames, other than that, awesome port/ game.also, other people got stuck on 6-9, they are 3 worlds ahead of me, and they cant beat the level by a impossible jump because there are too many enemies that cant be jumped on. 4/5 until update, make sure there are less enemies that cant be jumped, change it to 1 enemie that cant be jumped on per level, that would be even better.

Im loving this game. It has classic 2d gameplay with smooth animation and beautiful graphics. The controls are initially odd, but you do get used to it. I wish the iPhone had more games like these.

This game has proven to be great fun! Ive played off and on for a few months now, and the levels are getting harder at a rate that works really well with the speed at which I am mastering the controls. There are secret places, cute animations, and fun extras. In some ways, this game has more character than Super Mario does. Addendum: I just finished level 6-9. Its not that hard if you find the secret bonus level a few levels before, and use it to stock up on lives. And you wont hit your head if you jump less high. :)
